A 24-year-old Newark, New York, man has died following a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck in Seneca Falls on Saturday afternoon, according to local police.

The fatal collision occurred shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of County House Road and Bauer Road. Investigators with the Seneca Falls Police Department responded to the scene and began examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police identified the motorcycle rider as Maxwell Roeland, 24, of Newark. According to investigators, Roeland was operating a motorcycle when it collided with a pickup truck driven by Ian Clancy, 34, of Waterloo.

Authorities said Clancy was making a left turn when the collision occurred. The impact left Roeland seriously injured, and emergency responders transported him to a local hospital for medical treatment. Despite efforts to save him, Roeland later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Clancy reportedly suffered minor injuries in the collision but did not require transportation to a hospital.
