A 46-year-old Columbia man was killed Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision on Forum Boulevard, according to the Columbia Police Department. The crash also left another driver seriously injured.
Police said officers responded at approximately 2:25 p.m. on August 22, 2026, to a two-vehicle collision in the 2900 block of Forum Boulevard in Columbia, Missouri.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found the aftermath of the serious crash. The 46-year-old Columbia man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said his family was notified of his death.
The second driver involved in the collision sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for medical treatment. Police did not immediately provide additional information about the extent of that person’s injuries or current condition.
Authorities said there were no passengers in either vehicle at the time of the crash.
The circumstances that led to the head-on collision have not yet been released. Investigators with the Columbia Police Department are continuing to examine the crash and work to determine what caused the two vehicles to collide.
