Despite the dedicated efforts of medical professionals, Charlie’s condition continued to deteriorate. His family shared that he ultimately passed away from heart failure, bringing profound sadness to those who had remained hopeful throughout his recovery.
During this incredibly difficult time, Charlie’s loved ones expressed their deepest gratitude to the medical teams who cared for him. They specifically thanked the staff at Cleveland’s MetroHealth, including the team on 5 West and Nurse Brittany on 5 East, for their compassion, kindness, and unwavering care.
The family also acknowledged the tremendous support they received from Charlie’s friends, relatives, and members of the wider community. Calls, prayers, messages, cards, and words of encouragement provided comfort and strength to Charlie and his loved ones during his battle.
