He began his TCSO career as a Detention Officer before advancing to become a Deputy Sheriff assigned to Patrol. He later transferred to the Judicial Division, where he proudly served the 297th District Court.
Within the 297th District Court, Deputy Rodriguez became affectionately known as “Papa,” a loving nickname given to him by his team because of his warm personality and caring nature. The name reflected the special bond he developed with those around him. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
His colleagues remembered him not only as a dedicated deputy but also as someone whose generosity and warmth could brighten the workplace. His presence brought comfort and camaraderie to those fortunate enough to work alongside him, and his absence will be deeply felt.
